Frozen Dead Guy Days, is the annual celebration of the cryogenically frozen man stored near the town of Boulder in Nederland, Colorado. It’s a three day festival of bizarre balls, music, the Parade of Hearses, followed by a Polar Plunge (typically colder than the one at Boulder Reservoir on January 1st, but not this year because it was 50 degrees) and last but not least the coffin races. Attendance was higher this year than in previous years due to the extremely warm weather. The festival also has tours of the “Frozen Dead Guy” himself. To read the entire story go to the Frozen Dead Guy Story. It’s one of those things that you say “only in Boulder” and then you realize, it’s not. If you aren’t interested in the Frozen Dead Guy Days but on how to buy a home in Boulder give me a call.
The problems have been minimal and the festival appeared more family-oriented than in the past. More info on The Frozen Dead Guy Days.
