Knollwood Boulder, Colorado

Knollwood

By Michael Hughes    January 16, 2010

The neighborhood of Knollwood has always been unto its’ own.  It is near downtown Boulder, close enough to walk to any of the nearby coffee shops or just to take a stroll.  Quiet but close. If you live there, of course you know that there is a foot trail down to Pearl St.  Nearby restaurants are Jax, Salt, The Kitchen, Juanitas’, Bacarros’ and more.  Knollwood is backed by Red Rocks hiking area to the west and right across the street is Mount Sanitas hiking trail to the north.  A great trail for hiking, or if it’s in you running.  The great thing about the Mount Sanitas hiking trail is that the main road for the trail faces south, so even if it snows the snow is melted quickly under the Boulder sun.  The views from Knollwood can be Red Rocks, great Flatirons views or the city lights.  A few years ago there were some major scrapings in Knollwood and some very contemporary modern homes have manifested among the classic and eclectic homes in the neighborhood. Properties for sale in this area are infrequent, people typically invest here and stay.  The streets in Knollwood are Green Rock Dr,Knollwood Dr ,Willow Glen Ct,  and Brookside Ct.

Here is yet another example of a great neighborhood in Boulder where people thrive.  Boulder; The best place in the world to live, grow and thrive.
