A 7.0-magnitude quake — which struck about 10 miles outside of the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince on Tuesday January 12, has left tens of thousands of Haitians dead and hundreds of thousands more without adequate food, water or shelter.
Niwot-based Crocs Inc. said Friday that the company would send aid to Haiti by donating about 70,000 of its signature clogs to Haitian earthquake victims. Over the last several years, Crocs has partnered with the nonprofit ‘Feed the Children’ to give out shoes to people in need around the world from Malawi to Iraq to Honduras to Laos.
It is a great feeling to have a company in Boulder County like Crocs that will jump in with both feet (no pun intended) and reach out for the common good in such an emergency. Thank you Crocs!
