The project started out at Princeton about 10 years ago. The device is the size of about two packs of cigarettes side by side. They churn out endless streams of random numbers (0’s and 1’s) sort of like randomly flipping a coin. Many scientists are claiming it is capable of predicting future major world events.
“It’s earth-shattering stuff” says Dr. Nelson, emeritus researcher at Princeton University who is heading up the Global Consciousness Project. It is focused on detecting whether all of humanity shares a single subconscious mind that we can all tap into or if there is power in intention.
Machines like the REG’s sometimes called RNG’s, EGG’s or the Edinburgh black box throw up an interesting concept. Have scientists unwittingly discovered a way of predicting the future? The project has attracted at least 75 respected scientists from 41 different nations. Researchers work in concert with scientists from universities in Britain, Germany the Netherlands and Switzerland. The EGGs are located around the globe see link below.
The REG spits out a pattern of ones and zeros. This can be printed as a graph. The graph typically is a flat line and any anomaly or deviation shows up on the graph as an upward curve. Basically the REG works like an automatic coin flipper.
The scientist working with the REG brought in ordinary people to see if they could concentrate on the box and change the number of heads and tails or zeros and ones. It was found that people could significantly influence the outcome and change the graph “forcing it” to produce unequal numbers of zeros and ones. According to the odds and science this should not have happened. But it did and it kept happening. So if I am a Realtor in Boulder I should be able to set my intention to buyers at a price point and they miraculously appear to buy some prime Boulder Real Estate. Now my intention is focused on sellers and listings I am going to sell 40 homes in Boulder in the next 12 months. Make sense? Seem bogus? What do you feel?
The REG’s have been tested in group meditations, and then on September 6, 1997 something amazing happened. There was a massive shift. REG’s from around the world started reporting huge changes from the normal. It was the day that about one billion people around the world watched the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales at Westminster Abbey.
It was as if a concentrated outpouring of emotion by millions and millions of people moved the REG numbers. At that point scientists gathered to analyze the data. It was inexplicable to the scientists and thus was born The Global Consciousness Project. Since then a total of 65 REG’s or what they are now calling EGGS’s have been placed around the world to act as the receptors for the graphs.
Probably the most intense shift in numbers came four hours prior to the attacks on September 11, 2001. The EGGS’s detected an event, an intention of historic proportions, hours before it took place.
While many remain skeptical about the ability of the little black boxes. The EGGS’s are winning more supporters than nay sayers in the scientific community. Professor Chris French said “Strange as it may seem, though, there’s nothing in the laws of physics that precludes the possibility of foreseeing the future.” Actually this might be solid footing for phenomena such as “déjà vu” or intuition, or that “I just had a feeling” we sometimes get. It seems that while we operate separate as individuals, we also seem to share something far greater—a global consciousness.
